GUAMCELL LAUNCHES 3.5G TECHNOLOGY ON WCDMA NETWORK FOR GUAM

GUAMCELL Communications announces the introduction of its advanced-technology 3.5G mobile services on Guam, available through its new and highly efficient WCDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple Access) network.

GUAMCELL also utilizes HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access), a new standard that extends WCDMA to increase the downlink communication rate. It is positioned as a 3.5G service and functions as a bridge between 3G services and the 4G mobile phone service slated for future introduction.

As the island's leader in efforts to increase the speed of networks supporting mobile communications on Guam, GUAMCELL now brings broadband communications to mobile networks. This allows terminals to comfortably support media-rich content, such as moving images, and also PDAs and mobile computers to download large amounts of data at high speed via wireless mobile devices.

With 3.5G services , consumers are now able to download content at much higher speeds allowing for more efficient utilization of time. Content downloads, Multimedia Messaging (MMS), Socialized Networking, Streaming Videos and Video Calling are just some of the features that are now easily accessible.

GUAMCELL'S new network will be marketed under the "MAX3.5G" brand and will be available immediately island-wide. Customers can enjoy content downloads such as ringtones, wallpapers, games and applications. Users can now personalize ringtones and wallpapers with a variety of options comparable to U.S market trends.

Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) allows users to quickly send a multitude of photos, music and video for both business and personal uses on the MAX3.5G network.

With MAX3.5G services, mobile users can conveniently link to socialized networks featuring websites designed for social networking with other users.

Streaming Video will also be offered to MAX3.5G customers and allow access to live news broadcasts, special events, concerts and sports games from the convenience of their phone.

Video Calling is now a reality on Guam through MAX3.5G! This feature allows audiovisual interfacing between mobile users for a multitude of purposes. With video calling, mobile customers can enjoy a visually connecting experience to enhance the overall communication exchange.

In conjunction with its new MAX3.5G services, GUAMCELL will also be introducing a new array of advanced 3.5G-capable mobile phones. These units will offer the latest technological features allowing users maximum utilization of the 3.5G technology.
